Summary
Analog astronauts will examine usefulness of methods or relative dating of moraines and determine their usefulness for future Mars missions.
Objectives
The aim of the project is to inter-correlate and evaluate the usefulness of three different indices of moraine relative age:
- sizes of lichen thalli
- Schmidt hammer rebound values (R−values)
- weathering rind thickness measured on rock surfaces
