Summary
WoRIS is a field experiment designed to determine influence of albedo and emissivity of the objects laying on the surface of glacier on the rate of its melting, and weathering of basaltic dust placed on the surface of the glacier.
Objectives
Investigation of the rate of cryoconite development (that is increase in their depth and width through time) depending on
- Albedo of the rocky particle currently being used in conditions of manned space flights
- Emissivity of the rock particle
- Size of the rock particle
- Thermal conductivity of ice
