| 7 | In today’s RF environment it is imperative that modern day devices and especially space suits are | ||
| 8 | meeting the EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) Standards. It basically states that products must | ||
| 9 | not emit unwanted electromagnetic pollution (interference) and, because there is a certain amount | ||
| 10 | of electromagnetic pollution in the environment, that products must be immune to a reasonable | ||
| 11 | amount of interference. The Directive itself gives no figures or guidelines on what the required level | ||
| 12 | of emissions or immunity are, nor does it state the frequency band limits. This interpretation of the | ||
| 13 | Directive’s requirements is left to the standards that are used to demonstrate compliance with de | ||
| 14 | Directive. For the Aouda Suit it is not entirely clear which EN Standards apply and further research | ||
| 15 | has to be done. | ||
