They are to remain resilient and to maintain their psychological well-being in order to successfully accomplish their mission in extreme and isolated environments. Future Martian explorers therefore have to be selected and trained to be able to deal with such environments and to be able to maintain an adaptive and resilient mind-set, communicate with others efficiently and pro-actively, process and accept worries and sadness, and to stay persistent with respect to the goals of the mission. 11 11 12 - Inthecourse of the experiment, all six analog astronauts will be trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In a wide range of studies, ACT hasproventoincrease people’s psychological flexibility; this is, their ability to pursue their importantgoals, even when they experience thoughts, feelings, fears, and emotions that may get in the way of theirmoving towards thosegoals. The ACT training will focus on providing key, practical skills that the participants can use in carrying out their daily activities, aswellas in interacting with their colleagues. This study aims to assesses the ability of ACT to improveparticipants’ psychological flexibility, stress and well-being, performance and error measures, narrative contents and communication patterns, cognitive and physiological outcomes.11 +~-~- Description for overview table ~-~- 13 13 14 -T heudywill useapre - post-test design. The pre-test will be completed by the participantsbefore theACT training,apost-testaftercompleting theraining. The aim is to identify factors that help reducing[[image:BACTeRMA_manifest.png||height="139" style="float:right" width="151"]] or terminating microbial strains on textiles and use them as microbial textile-dye. The first practical test will take place during the AMADEE20 mission in October 2021. This testing is focused on Skin-Irritations and Comfort. Selected patches will be included into the undergarment of the Analogue Astronauts for a certain period of time. The Analogue Astronauts will document the skin and textile conditions during this time with photographs and questionnaires. After the mission the textile patches will be sent back to the Vienna Textile Lab where antimicrobial tests and a pH test will be performed. 23 + 24 +=== Experiment Data === 25 + 26 +(% style="height:10px; width:1000px" %) 27 +|=(% style="width: 127px;" %)Date|=(% style="width: 871px;" %)Files 28 +|(% style="width:127px" %)[[2021-10-04>>https://mission.oewf.org/archive_downloads/amadee20/BACTERMA_COMPL]]|(% style="width:871px" %)files 29 +|(% style="width:127px" %) |(% style="width:871px" %)
